As a real estate expert, I try not to use my blog as a sales tool, touting every statistic out there while ignoring any that jeopardize my chances of getting people to buy or sell their property.
But I am seeing more and more realtors use statistics as a way of making people feel anxious. Most people are already anxious about buying a home. Using that, and intensifying it, isn't an appropriate sales tactic.
Good realtors are there to advise you on every possible situation in regards to your real estate "holding(s)". Real estate, for most, makes up the largest portion of your investment portfolio.
